Bury CC-9060 Software Update Now Released (V2.14)
The new software is now released for the Bury CC-9060 Car Kit which includes the below improvements, i can’t find anywhere on the Bury website that explains how to use them so i will tell you how i managed to do them!
The Multipoint (Connect 2 phones to the kit at once perhaps Work & Personal Phone)
Pair phone 1 to the car kit, then disconnect it.
Pair phone 2 to the kit.
Then go to Settings - Bluetooth - Multipoint and tick the box. You should find it will connect to Phone 1 first and shortly after to Phone 2 (If not go to Settings - Bluetooth - Phone List then choose the main phone and tick default). If either phone rings it will then go through the car kit. The phonebook will only be shown from Phone 1 so this should be your main phone, if you need to dial out from Phone 2 then press Voice Dial and say ‘Switch Phone’ it will take around 1 minute while it disconnects from both handsets and reconnects the other way around.
Magic Word (Initiate an outgoing call without touching the screen by saying ‘Activate Voice Dial’)
To turn on Magic Word go to Settings - Voice Dial - Magic Word
Voice Memo (Record important info)
Either Voice Dial ‘Memo’ or Press More then Memo
I haven’t played with this much but guess a Private one will only show when your phone is connected, where as a Global one will show if any phone is connected feel free to correct me if i’m wrong.
Added ‘External Audio’ option (Settings - Audio - External Audio)
This will allow the audio from other software perhaps Navigation to go through the hands free kit. Personally i would only turn this on if needed otherwise any noise your handset makes will mute the car stereo (Text Message, Email, Low Battery etc) Usefull if watching Video on the handset though as will put the sound through the vehicle speakers.
As always there will be a lot of ‘behind the scenes improvements’ along with adding some new handsets to the compatibility list. This will ensure the CC-9060 stays ahead of the game in the hands free kit market!

Hi Steve, can you contact Bury direct as the software they are testing for the Samsung F480 Tocco isn’t on the 02 update:
http://mobilereviews.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=501&tab=6
They state on the compatibility for the latest software they have tried - F480BOHE3. On looking for this I cannot see where this update is. I am running the latest software - F480ADIA1 and have a major echo problem. I will post again when I find more problem updates, but at the moment I’m just seeing if anyone else has come across this issue. Many thanks

I haven’t had any other problems mentioned to me. Doing a google on the F480BOHE3 version appears it may well be a T-mobile branded handset (very possible i think T-mobile are big in Germany) is the echo control switched on in the kit? (Settings > Audio > DSP > Echo Suppression)

Sam,
I have come across this before once from a customer and once it actually happened to me when someone sent me there CC-9060 box & screen to update. I am afraid there is nothing that can be done apart from contact the supplier of your actual kit and they should change it under warranty (2 year warranty).
Out of curiosity did you manually download the V214 zip file or did you let the Download Manager get it for you?

hi steve thanks for your reply, i let the download manager get the file. do you think its better to get the file manually then?
I have phoned bury in Germany and they want me to send the control box only and they will repair it and send it back which is good. they are very helpful on the phone. I will let you know the outcome! Sam

hi i have purchased a new screen for my cc9060 and it does not fit on the base plate. my base plate has a small tab stopping it clicking on. i presume my old screen had a hole to accomadate this.
can anyone tell me if there are different versions of the cc9060 screen?
and if i cut the tab off my base plate would it work or damage the car kit?
thanks

Some of the screens did have a small hole to accommodate the dimple. In my opinion slice off the small mound of plastic on the screen holder it comes off quite easily with a stanley blade (mind your fingers though!)
You may need to perform a software update of the kit also to fully match up the base unit -> screen softwares.
