Parrot CK3100 Memory Full Problem

If you have a CK3100 and when you pair up a new phone it states ‘Memory Full’ even after deleting the ‘Paired Devices’ this is usually caused by the Ignition 12v & Permanent 12v supplies being the incorrect way around. An easy test for this is to turn off the ignition on the car and the kit should flash up ‘Goodbye’ on the screen if it doesn’t they are wrong.

Usually you can disconnect the power plug to the junction box of the kit for at least 5 minutes, correct the ignition & permanent supplies and power the kit back up and all being well it will be fine. In the unlikely event the problem still remains you will need to software upgrade the kit.

When the supplies are incorrect the kit doesn’t shut down correctly you find a small amount of memory isn’t cleared from the kit (Say 0.13kb etc) after a period of time the kits memory gets full.

My Parrot ck3100 has been in my Toyota Previa for about 4 years now.It was installed by someone who does that sort of thing for a living. It worked fine and every time i have had a phone upgrade i have never had a problem getting connected and it has performed faultlessly.Recently i got another phone and when it came to connecting i was getting the memory full message.I deleted all my contacts and any other paired devices but was still getting the message.I always had to connect manually as well every time i started the car, which was getting a right pain in the backside.I disconnected all wires to it for over an hour and a half (well footie was on the telly and i forgot what iwas supposed to be doing)and connected all the wires and still had the same problem.I read the comment on here about reversing the wires as i had never had the message come up saying goodbye whenever i turned it off.Well i reversed the wires and BRILLIANT its all working as it had before.May i say a big thankyou to the person who has given this advice as this would have cost a bit of money to get someone to do this.Im no expert with electrics and always get someone else to do it.Thanks again pal.Tony
