Chameleon offer a unique fixed price installation service to anywhere in the UK mainland with no hidden surcharges*. The price you see is the price you pay, all backed by Chameleons hands-free car kit price promise meaning that you can buy with confidence.
After selecting the product and installation level required and completing your order, one of our highly trained booking staff will contact you within two working hours (During Office hours 8.30 - 17.30 Monday - Friday) to collect your vehicle details while talking you through all the installation options available for your vehicle and arrange a convenient installation date at a location of your choice. Chameleon has over 150 fully trained engineers meaning that no matter where you are in the UK we will be able to perform your installation quickly and professionally at a location of your choice, be that at home, the office or any other suitable location.
You will also be sent a confirmation e-mail and offered a text message service to inform you 24 hours before your hands-free kit is dispatched and again, 24 hours before your hands-free kit is due to be installed detailing all the installation details and relevant contact details for your installation team.
Standard Installation
A car kit installation securing the cradle** directly to the vehicle dashboard (Bluetooth kits will be secured to the vehicles dashboard using the adhesive pad or mounting brackets provided with the product). To obtain the best call and reception quality possible, an aerial suitable for your vehicle will be provided with all handsfree car kits featuring an antenna connection. This installation utilises the external speaker or ISO radio mute lead supplied with the car kit.
If a speaker is being used (Bury System 8) it will usually be located out of sight in the passenger foot well and secured with self tapping screws.
If the Handsfree car kit is supplied with an ISO radio mute (Parrot, THB Bury CC9060, Motorola) then the incoming audio will directed through the vehicles existing stereo system*
*Additional adaptor leads may be required at an additional cost if your vehicle does not have standard ISO connectors
Any additional costs will be explained & agreed before the installation takes place. Any customer wishing to cancel their installation at this point will be entitled to a full refund.
Mid range Installation
A car kit installation securing the cradle** to a non damaging bracket attached to the vehicles dashboard. The vehicle specific bracket will be located within easy reach, normally on either an air vent or at the side of the center console. To obtain the best call and reception quality possible, an aerial suitable for your vehicle will be provided with all handsfree car kits featuring an antenna connection. This installation utilises the external speaker supplied with the car kit, usually located out of sight in the passenger foot well and secured with self tapping screws.
Premium Installation
A car kit installation securing the cradle** to a non damaging bracket attached to the vehicles dashboard. The vehicle specific bracket will be located within easy reach, normally on either an air vent or at the side of the centre console.
All incoming and outgoing calls will be routed through the vehicles existing audio system, normally muting the rear speakers while playing the call through the front speakers, greatly improving the sound quality. The vehicles audio system will also be automatically muted on all calls with the audio automatically commencing when the call is finished. To obtain the best call and reception quality possible, an aerial suitable for your vehicle will be provided with all handsfree car kits featuring an antenna connection.
A total non damaging Installation. This installation type can only be performed if the in - car entertainment system allows us to do so.*
* A surcharge of £25 may be required for vehicles with amplified or premium audio systems requiring a Premium installation or for vehicles requiring installation of a premium install only product who's vehicle connections are not standard ISO. The booking agent will explain all options and any additional charges with you before confirming the installation. A full, no quibble, refund is available if you wish to cancel your installation at this time.
** Only with hands free car kits supplied with a cradle, Bluetooth hands free kits will not be supplied with a cradle unless stated in the product description. All bluetooth screens / buttons will be mounted using the fittings supplied in the hands free kit
